Introduction
Kia ora friends! (Kia Ora means Hello or Hi in Kiwi language) Last Easter Sunday, April 21st, Cocolemon Peeps (My hiking group) went to Mt. Lubog. This mountain is located in Brgy. Puray, Rodriguez, Rizal. Getting to this mountain is such a challenge because you need to take a 2 hour habal-habal ride to get to the registration area plus the road is very rough. Get ready for a challenging bumpy ride! A habal-habal can accommodate 4-5 persons including the driver and costs Php 1000+. Should you decide to go to Mt. Lubog, I strongly suggest that you do this in summer because the road is bumpy and a bit challenging especially if it is raining. When we went there, we needed to get off the Habal-habal several times to pass by those gaps on the roads. Kindly watch the video and gif below 😀
So after the 2 hour bumpy ride, we arrived at the trailhead. After 1 hour and 45 minutes of hiking, we reached the summit. It’s so much like Mt. Lagyo and other mountains in Montalban because of the limestone.

Hi Say! So since nakita mo na yung place, advisable ba na umakyat ngayong rainy season? Balak namin umakyat bukas, June 30, 2019, at sobrang maulan pa. Sa tingin mo, mas okay ba i reschedule namin? Or kaya naman sya akyatin? Thanks
Hello Janine,
Sorry now ko lang nabasa yung comment mo, I’m not sure kung nakatuloy kayo pero mahirap ang byahe ng Mt. Lubog pag rainy season. I suggest na mag reschedule na lang kayo if di kayo natuloy kahapon 🙂

Say

The first video is unavailable because it’s ‘private’. Other than that, this is a nice blog, it leaves enough room for curiosity to make the reader want to visit and hike the mountain as well.
Thanks for your comment. I have already changed the status of the vid from private to public.
Thank you for sharing the details of your hike, Say! Very helpful. I always admired how you and your friends shared your realizations about the hike. I’m sure it was such a surreal experience!
