Introduction
Once again, here’s another blog post for y’all! Last February, CocoLemon Peeps decided to climb Mt. Mapalad. This mountain is part of Sierra Madre mountain ranges and is located in Tanay, Rizal. My friends and I met in Cogeo Gate 2 at 5 am and one of our friends, Glenn, picked up us to go from there to Brgy. San Andres in Tanay. This is the jump-off and registration point on Mt. Mapalad. As usual, you need to pay the registration and guide fees (See below estimated expenses)
Once the registration and briefing are completed, we already proceeded to climb the mountain. We enjoyed the view and bonding with each other during the hike. What surprised us was when we reached the summit. There were a lot of hikers waiting to be called for their turn to take photos on top of the famous wooden hands (view decks), Palad 1 and Palad 2 (Palad means palm). Palad 1 is bigger and good for group photos while Palad 2 has got a better view as it showcases the Sierra Madre mountain ranges.
It’s also nice if you get the chance to witness the sea of clouds 🙂 We waited for almost an hour and a half before our turn. So we took the delay as an opportunity to talk to each other and share their insights/realisations while climbing the mountain. Each one took turns sharing their thoughts. I believe this is one of the highlights of our hike 🙂 Once we were called by the guide, we seized the moment and took photos quickly as there is a time limit to give chance to other hikers. While waiting I suggest that you decide on your Instagrammable poses 🙂

– I think these parts can be paraphrased.
It could have been nice as well if you shared some of the things you talked about while waiting for your turn to take your pictures, but overall the blog is nice and informative. 🙂
Thanks for the informative blog, Say! Is the trail okay for newbies? Kaya naman? 🙂 Thanks! Interested on coming here soon, kaso baka di ko kayanin. Haha
