Introduction
You know those random weekends when you just need to escape the city? That was me a few weeks ago. I invited my church friends to join me for my Project82 goal, and we decided, why not Quirino? By the way, if you’re new here, Project82 is my personal goal of traveling to all of the provinces in the Philippines.
At first, we thought of doing a DIY trip, but since time wasn’t on our side (and honestly, organizing everything from scratch is tiring), we looked for a joiners group instead. Luckily, we found one offering a 2D1N Quirino Province x Dinadiawan White Beach tour for only ₱2,999! Super sulit, promise.
Travel Essentials Checklist
Before you go, make sure to pack these:
✔️ Valid ID
✔️ Extra clothes, slippers, and toiletries
✔️ Sun protection (sunblock, cap, shades)
✔️ Snacks, water bottle, and powerbank
✔️ Waterproof bag and phone holder
✔️ Personal meds and pocket money
Also, note that a ₱1,000 down payment is required to secure your slot. It’s non-refundable but transferrable. So, plan ahead!
Quick facts
- Destination: Quirino Province x Dinadiawan White Beach, Aurora
- Duration: 2 days, 1 night

What’s Included (and Not)
Our ₱2,999 covered a lot:
✅ Van transfer (Manila–Quirino–Manila)
✅ One-night air-conditioned room (sharing)

✅ Eco fees and full tour coordination
You’ll need to shoulder extras like meals, entrance fees, and guide tips. River tubing and other activities are optional but super worth it if you want the full experience.
Getting There: The Start of Our Road Trip
Our meet-up point was easy: lots of options like McDo MOA, Greenfield, Cubao, Centris, or SM Annex. We got picked up around 9 PM on a Friday night, and by 10 PM, we were already on our way to Quirino.
I tried to sleep in the van (key word: tried), but between the excitement and the random karaoke sessions, I was wide awake. 😂
By sunrise, we were greeted by misty mountains, rice fields, and winding roads. Finally, the city noise was replaced by the sound of birds and running water. Ahhh… peace.
Day 1: Chasing Falls, Caves, and Rapids
Our first stop was the Quirino Provincial Capitol, followed by the Library and Museum, a calm and cultural way to start the day. Then came Claredita Falls, and wow, the water was freezing! But after the long drive, that splash of cold water was heaven.
Next up: Governor’s Rapids—probably my favorite part of the trip. The limestone cliffs and emerald waters were postcard-perfect! Some of us tried river tubing and cruising (for an extra fee), while others just swam or took a hundred photos by the Cagayan River.
Oh, and did I mention there’s cliff jumping? For adrenaline junkies, this is perfect for you.
We wrapped up the day with dinner, socials, and a cozy stay at our air-conditioned shared accommodation. Simple but comfortable—perfect after a day of adventure.
Day 2: Sunrise Feels + White Beach Bliss
The wake-up call was at 4 AM but the Landingan Viewpoint made it worth every groggy minute. The view? Unreal. You could see rolling hills, fog, and the sky slowly turning gold. It felt like a scene straight out of a movie.
After breakfast, we headed to Dinadiawan White Beach in Aurora. Imagine fine sand, crystal-clear water, and chill island vibes. We swam, laughed, and even had lunch by the shore.
Before heading home, we stopped by a coconut farm (giving major Siargao energy) and the photogenic Ampere Beach, known for its rock formations and moody waves. Of course, we couldn’t skip the Baler pasalubong store—because you can’t go home without some treats for the fam.
Final Thoughts
This Quirino x Dinadiawan joiners trip was exactly what we needed: mountains, waterfalls, beaches, and new memories with friends. It reminded me that you don’t need to go far or spend big to have a meaningful escape.
If you’re craving a mix of adventure and chill, book that joiners tour! Trust me, you’ll come home tired, tanned, but totally recharged.
Thinking of joining your next joiners trip but not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered! Whether you’re a solo traveler, a barkada on a budget, or someone who just loves spontaneous adventures, joiner tours are the perfect way to explore new destinations, meet amazing people, and experience the Philippines in its raw beauty.
